French Quarter Fat Tuesday
Pensacola Mardi Gras and Seville Quarter are teaming up with Mardi Gras Krewes for a French Quarter Fat Tuesday Celebration on March 4, 2025, in Downtown Pensacola.
Organizers are going for a Big Easy-style Mardi Gras Festival that will include a low country Boil, food trucks, and dancing and partying downtown.
The Priscus Celebration, a longtime Pensacola Mardi Gras tradition, begins at 11:00 a.m. with a Jazz Royalty Brunch featuring a Mardi Gras menu, Skyy Vodka Bloody Mary Specials, and low country boil. Krewes will take over every room inside historic Seville Quarter, transforming the historic complex into the French Quarter for the day. Phineas Phogg’s will be taken over by Krewe of Priscus, Krewe of Cheers and Mystic Mafia. Krewe de Karnaval and Krewe of Vixens will transform Apple Annie’s. End O’ the Alley Bar will be represented by Krewe of Airship Pirates and Krewe de Kannabis and the Gatsby Girls will host End O’ the Alley Courtyard and Krewe of Royals and Krewe of Sirens will take over Rosie O’Grady’s. Krewe of Seville will celebrate their way in Lily Marlene’s, and Mayoki will host Fast Eddies. Last but not least, our reigning 2024 King and Queen Priscus, Norm Cain and Amy Miller with the Krewe of Anarchy will be in the Palace Oyster Bar.
At 2 p.m., Krewe royalty and elected officials will be on hand as Seville Quarter is overtaken and becomes the French Quarter. The coronation of a new King and Queen Priscus will take place around 7:00 pm, and the end of the 2025 Mardi Gras season will be commemorated at midnight.
At 5:00 p.m., Mardi Gras Krewes will come together for a celebration with live entertainment throughout the complex.
At 7:00 p.m., Danny Zimmern, President of Pensacola Mardi Gras, will present awards for the 2024 Mardi Gras season, and will end with the coronation ceremony of the new King & Queen Priscus for Mardi Gras 2025. The French Quarter night and ceremonies will peak with a Mardi Gras drag show and dancing inside Phineas Phogg’s, while other entertainment throughout the complex continues throughout the night.
