The Krewe of Avant Garde’s annual Formal Masquerade Mardi Gras Ball is scheduled for Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Pensacola Yacht Club at 6 p.m. The Ball will be complete with music, dancing, dinner, cash bar, our royal court tableaux presentation, best mask contest, and more. Advance reservations will be required. Members, guests, and the community are invited. Ticket costs TBD in December 2023 and will be announced with further event details on our Facebook site at Krewe of Avant Garde – Pensacola.

The Krewe of Avant Garde was established in 1983 with the purpose to show visible support of our armed services. We are the first and only Mardi Gras Krewe in Pensacola who openly recognizes and supports our troops by our presence. Members are not required to be affiliated with the military – we just share a common bond of patriotism and military support – and have fun doing so. Our float can be seen in the forefront of most parades displaying our country’s flag and the flags of all the armed services. Hence, our name – Avant Garde!
