The Krewe du YaYas are an organization of 154 women that volunteer their time and efforts to help make a difference in the crusade against breast cancer. Our mission is to inspire hope and enhance life for those who are affected by breast cancer through early detection, advocacy, education, and support. We have become one of the top fundraising nonprofit organizations which supports the Krewe du YaYas Keeping A Breast Foundation. The foundation provides local breast cancer assistance and mammogram screenings those who are uninsured or underinsured. Some of our stats are $473,646 funding provided, 2227 individual assisted, and 2918 diagnostics services paid for.
We wear the color pink as a symbol to honor all who have been touched by this dreaded disease and to show our support for all of the breast cancer community. The tiara represents that all women can say yes, you can be a princess and queen in your daily lives while striving to follow our motto of Live, Laugh, and Love.
The Krewe has various events throughout the year, please visit their website to catch all the latest Yaya events!
