Perfect Plain Brewing Co. released the first official Pensacola Mardi Gras beer on Friday. Krewes and individuals were invited to Perfect Plain for the first taste of the new brew and to take part in a contest to choose the name. The winner would receive a 1/6 barrel for their Mardi Gras float.
Finalists were:
Bayou a Brewski – Erin Fogerty
Ready, Set, Geaux – John Hodgdon
Slow Down, Tiger – Tabby Simisona
Big PIMMin’ – Pierce Lauer
Hit me with Your Best Hop – Rick Crain
Krewe Brew – Shawn Dennis
The winner was Big PIMMin’.
If you’d like a keg for YOUR krewe’s float, a very limited amount are available. Special pricing on 32-ounce growlers of the beer is also available through Saturday, so get yours for $12 while they last.
